When summoning, take the Crown off, make your summon, and then put it back on. Just make sure you put the Atronach Stone in the Crown, because Conjuration spells count as spells casted on the self, so if you do it at 80% Spell Absorption, it will take a fair few tries for it to actually work. If you get the Atronach Perk from the Alteration tree, you will be sitting at an 80% Spell Absorption, with +50 Magicka and +50% Magicka Regen. If you have the Dawnguard DLC, get your hands on the Aetherial Crown and take both the Atronach and the Apprentice Stones. Alteration will become your new best friend. Get rid of Morokei and pump the Mage Armour Perks. Hmmm ok because you're not going for a battlemage-type build, here are my suggestions: I like the idea of standing back and letting my demons and destruction take care of battle, but it would be nice to not die in 2 hits from an arrow.Īny advice on good enchantments and armor would be appreciated, or even if you think it would be more worth it to hide behind wards (i have not explored restoration or alteration). My new goal is to level enchanting in order to create good armor for myself and I wanted input on which perks would be best(magic resistence? Magic regen? Health regen? etc) I don't want a "battle mage" and i'm not looking for a tank. The only problem is if one guy gets close, or If i encounter an archer/mage its lights out after 2-3 attacks. in the wide open) and I can usually just run around and let my Dremora Lords handle business.

This build is useful when enemies cant touch me (i.e. I have also allocated most of my points to magic first then health (at a rate of 2-1). My Armor consists of Savos Aron Amulet, Arch Mage Robes, Ring of regeneration, Moroki, and leather bracers and boots. I confront enemies in the open and use conjuration and destruction magic (and let my Dremora Lords handle the rest). Hey guys, My latest character is a "Squishy" Mage who does not sneak or hide in the shadows.
